Chaplain(LTC-ret) Lee Hardgrove

Born on April 8, 1950 in New York City.  Graduated from Walt Whitman HS in 1968.  Received a Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) from American University and a Master of Divinity from Yale University and a Master of Arts from Rhode Island College.

Ordained  an Elder  and an endorsed chaplain in the United Methodist Church where I served as a local church for 40 years.

Received direct commission as a chaplain in 1982.  Served in the US Army Reserve and NY National Guard.  I retired in 2007 as a Lt. Col.  I served in the 808th Station Hospital, served as a USMA Liaison Officer and chaplain of the 42nd Infantry Division. I was deployed at Ground Zero in NY City and in Kabul, Afghanistan. Awards include, Army Commendation Medal (2), Army Achievement Meritorious Service Medal (2) and the Defense Meritorious Medal.

Active in VFW, MOAA, and Military Airport Lounge.
