Brian Votolato proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 2001 to 2007, attaining the rank of Sergeant (E-5). During his military service, he served as an Infantry Squad Leader with 1st Battalion, 25th Marines, supporting missions during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Noble Eagle. He also served aboard the USS Juneau while deployed in Okinawa, Japan.

Continuing his lifelong commitment to service, Brian remains actively involved in the veteran community. He is a member of VFW Post 152, serves as the Veteran Liaison for the Town of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, and is the Co-Chairperson of the North Kingstown Veterans & Memorial Day Parade Committee. In these roles, he helps organize ceremonies, parades, and events that honor the service and sacrifice of America's veterans.

Brian also serves as the Local Coordinator for Irreverent Warriors Rhode Island, a veteran-led nonprofit organization dedicated to improving veteran mental health and preventing veteran suicide through camaraderie, humor, and connection. In 2025, he launched Rhode Island's first Irreverent Warriors chapter, creating opportunities for veterans to come together, build meaningful relationships, and find support among those who understand the unique challenges of military service and transition.

Through his leadership, volunteer service, and advocacy, Brian continues to uphold the values of duty, honor, and community that defined his time in the Marine Corps.

Brian resides in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, with his wife, Taylor, and their children, Theo and Brooke.
